My grandfather's house burned down in January, and his new house was just finished. So...I decided to start on a quilt to give him for Christmas, and the Chinese coin pattern came together rather quickly. Yeah for easy patterns! Here is the top...with some ranch-y fabric touches (he lives on a ranch). I now have it basted and ready to quilt...I just need to psych myself up for that part!

i know what you mean about psyching yourself up for the quilting part! this is so beautiful. i really love the fabric you chose for the sashing and border. very dramatic and masculine.
